Sass and the Screen Welcomes You
Just the thoughts of a sassy, disabled, queer, sex positive woman looking to dismantle the male dominated world of thoughts on film media.
Honest reviews. In line with the times. A blend of film geek and everyday speak.
Cinematic Insights & Unfiltered Opinions Your Guide to the World of Movies & TV
Welcome to my little slice of the internet. Stop in and stay awhile as you read through the blog. Each entry is a different film or television show review. The streaming provider listed on each entry is referring to the service I used to watch it and depending on a variety of factors you may find said media on other services or potentially not available at all. Double check the blog entry dates and absolutely send me a message if you're having trouble tracking something down.

Initially this blog will contain my own selections - be warned dear readers that I diverse taste in what I choose to watch. Anticipate honest reviews that give you a no nonsense take on the film, show, or limited series being watched. If you've got something you'd love to read my take on please "drop it" in the Suggestion Box down at the bottom of this page. I come into this as an elder millennial/xennial, novice film maker, avid cinephile, sex worker, former teacher, and author who just so happens to have lived with disabilities and chronic conditions my entire life. Know that in this blog I will absolutely be writing from a place that emphasizes:
-
Sex Positivity
-
Supports consensual sex work
-
Body Neutrality
-
Support for Queer artists and representation
-
Support for Disabled artists and representation

My comment section is not a place for arguments and I will shut those down if they get out of hand. Disagreements are fine as long as they are respectful. Trolls... go spend your energy elsewhere.

This home page will get updated if there's anything else that needs to be spelled out from the get go but until then... on to the reviews!
Hot takes.
Fresh sass.
From big screens to streaming service wonders.
Got something you'd love my take on?
Drop it in the suggestion box at the bottom of the page!
